Seven Days in May

Via Steve Clemons, I see that, on his return from South Asia, US Defense Secretary Gates watched one of my favourite movies, Seven Days in May. It's about an attempted military coup in the US, and it looks like the whole movie is available in several parts on YouTube, starting here.

Below is the critical show-down scene between the scheming general and the president:

Fun mental exercise: how would you cast a remake of Seven Days in May? If you wanted to cast 'against type', how about Keifer Sutherland as the president and Denzel Washington as the general?
